Private Wholesale Deals: How the ClearCycle Trade Deal Desk Works

Not every wholesale opportunity belongs on a public stock list. Sometimes the quantity is large, the brand is sensitive, the seller wants controlled circulation or the deal needs a proper conversation before anybody can quote sensibly.

The ClearCycle Trade Deal Desk is a broker-assisted network for those deals. Sellers submit stock privately. We review it, approach relevant buyers, collect offers and help both sides get to a workable position. We do not publish the buyer list or expose our trade network to users.

What sort of stock fits the Trade Deal Desk?

  • Wholesale quantities of branded consumer goods
  • Retailer overstock and end-of-line inventory
  • Customer returns and graded stock
  • Furniture, homeware and bulky clearance lines
  • Commercial assets and project stock
  • Mixed pallets, salvage and recoverable products
  • Time-sensitive, territorial or discreet opportunities

It is also a home for reverse sourcing. A buyer may need 10,000 units of a specific product, a regular supply of graded appliances or a particular category for export. They can submit the requirement and we can take it to the right part of the network.

What happens after a seller submits a deal?

  1. Review: we check the commercial information, condition, quantity, location, timing and any restrictions.
  2. Clarify: where necessary, we ask for a manifest, photographs or the details buyers will need to make a serious offer.
  3. Target: the opportunity is circulated to suitable buyers by category rather than broadcast indiscriminately.
  4. Collect offers: buyers submit interest and commercial terms through the Deal Desk.
  5. Broker: we help clarify questions, compare offers and negotiate towards an agreement.
  6. Close: the parties receive the information needed to complete the agreed deal and ClearCycle records the brokerage outcome.

Why use a broker instead of sending a spreadsheet everywhere?

A spreadsheet sent too widely quickly stops being a private opportunity. Buyers may receive stock that has nothing to do with their business, sellers lose control of the message and several versions of the same deal begin travelling around at different prices.

Brokered distribution keeps the deal tighter. It gives the seller one point of contact and gives buyers better-filtered opportunities. It also allows awkward but important details to be handled before they derail a transaction: collection times, payment terms, territorial limits, product data, packaging condition and the difference between guide price and acceptable offer.

A more useful outcome for surplus stock

The commercial goal is a completed deal. The wider benefit is keeping usable products and materials in circulation. Better matching can move stock into repair, resale, export, parts recovery or recycling before disposal becomes the default.

Submit a private wholesale deal or buyer requirement. If public competitive bidding is the better fit, our vendor auction service gives approved sellers their own event and vendor portal.
